Miss Lakeland

Meghan Orsley currently attends Palm Beach State College, WPB, FL where she is majoring in Interior Design. Ultimately, Meghan plans on owning and operating her own interior design firm where she will design and create home interiors for clients at moderate price points. Recently, Meghan worked on redesigning a home in Palm Beach County and loves the thrill of creating a new image for these classic homes. In 2009, Meghan held the title of Miss Palm Beach County and is excited to work as Miss Lakeland throughout the course of the year and represent Lakeland at the Miss Florida Pageant, St. Petersburg, FL. Miss Orsley’s platform is a program that she has developed called "6 Steps to Serenity." It is a relevant and helpful program for children of alcoholics. Meghan says "alcoholism is not just a disease of the addict but it is, in fact, a family disease and my program can and will help." Her six step program was established to work in conjunction with the 12 Step Program that alcoholics have been incorporating into their respective recoveries in rehabilitation centers around the world. Her goal is to implement her program in as many rehabilitation centers as possible across America. Meghan has developed her program because she has lived it, worked through the program, and ultimately found peace within the Six Steps to Serenity. Meghan feels empowered and wants to be the catalyst in these young people’s lives. Miss Orsley wants every child to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, "I am living proof!" Volunteering is a big part of her life as she has volunteered at countless soup kitchens, Aids Walks, Race for the Cure, The Miss Special America Pageant, The Free Girl Foundation, and has even travelled to South Carolina to reconstruct damaged roofs in low income houses with "World Changers." The list of what she has accomplished is endless but she knows that there is so much more to achieve.

Meghan is a working model in the ever expanding Miami Market and has appeared in several print, commercial, runway, and live showroom modeling. A physical fitness enthusiast, Meghan encourages young girls to find activities outside and to incorporate fitness into their lifestyles!
